The beloved star, who celebrated his 52nd birthday in the ICU (intensive care accident) on Saturday, underwent two surgeries in order to place metal pins around his legs, along with chest surgery, after being left in critical condition following the frightening incident.

Along with his caring sister, Jeremy’s friend and fellow actor, Colin Farrell, additionally gave a recent update on the star’s recovery status.

The Irish actor, who previously co-starred with Renner in SWAT, told Entertainment Tonight on Sunday, ‘I’ve been in touch. He’s doing good, I believe,’ adding, ‘All prayers are with him.’

The actor had been helping a family member with a personal vehicle that was stuck in the snow, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said during a news conference held last week on Tuesday, two days after the accident.

He used the 14,330-pound snow plow to help the family member before getting out to speak with them. During the conversation, it was observed that the PistenBully [snow plow] was starting to roll,’ said Balaam. At that point, Renner tried to get back in and was run over.

The sheriff added that the police do not suspect foul play, nor does it suspect that Renner was at all impaired at the time. He said that neighbors “came out with towels” and gave him first aid, although none were doctors.

The same day of the conference, a source informed DailyMail.com that Jeremy was awake and talking.

A 911 emergency call made after the actor was run over by the snow plow machine indicated that the right side of the actor’s chest collapsed and his upper torso was crushed.

The emergency log, obtained by TMZ, included notes from the accident that said Renner could be heard moaning in the background of the call and was experiencing heavy bleeding from his head and other injuries.

The injuries to his chest and torso were reportedly making it difficult for the Marvel star to breathe before he was airlifted to a nearby hospital from the scene of the accident at about 10am on New Year’s Day near his home in the Reno area.

Getting better: Since his hospitalization, Jeremy has given updates to his fans and followers on social media, which began with a selfie the star had taken while resting in the ICU.
