The culmination of Prince William and Princess Kate’s three-day tour in and around Boston is Friday night with the Earthshot Prize ceremony in Boston. The Earthshot Prize offers $1.2 million in prize money to each of the winners of five separate categories: nature protection, clean air, ocean revival, waste elimination and climate change. The winners and all 15 finalists also receive help in expanding their projects to meet global demand. Prince William and Princess Kate arrived outside Boston’s MGM Music Hall just before 5 pm on Friday to a roaring crowd . Prince William was dressed in a classic tuxedo while Princess Kate wore a green dress, as both walked down a green carpet — which replaced the traditional red carpet placed outside high profile events. Billie Eilish, Annie Lennox, Ellie Goulding and Chloe x Halle will be part of the show. It will also feature videos narrated by naturalist David Attenborough and actor Cate Blanchett. “We can expect a green carpet. We can expect sustainable fashion,” Rachael Bowie, co-host of a podcast about British royalty, said. Bowie and Roberta Fiorito are serious observers of the royal family.
